A warm Welcome! 

Thank you for visiting ‘Dancing in the Rain’. I hope you enjoy the experience. You will catch a  glimpse or two into who I am and what I do; what I believe in and the books that I write.

Why am I dancing in the rain? Good question. "Why not?" I ask you. Rain is what pours down on all of us, as we squelch our way through life, don’t you think? Life happens. It’s often good but sometimes not so good. Stuff happens. To all of us! Without exception.

And so what I have learnt in a nutshell is this. Life is an amazing adventure! But its sunshine isn't permanent. Rainy seasons happen. How do I deal with the rain? And the slush? And the storms when they come? I've learnt that Life is also about choice. What happens is often beyond my control. But.... my attitude towards what happens is something I can own and take charge of. And so I choose to ‘Dance in the rain’. As a choice. And you know what? It’s fun!

And so worth it!

His Presence 

12.05.14.

Four decades ago today

He called me.

Called me to follow Him.

Jesus.

He sought me, found me.

Loved me. Forgave me.

Healed me, restored me.

I am new. Whole. 

Forgiven. Set free.

He brought me into..

this spacious place.

He set my feet upon a rock.

Forest on each side; 

a mountain track

leading up; high; dangerous;

New forbidding territory.

Rain clounds threaten …

Lightning flashes; thunder booms…

But behind the storm, I see the glint

of sunshine as it smiles 

from behind each cloud;

Because…..

The Light of His Presence

is my Lamp.

My Father reaches down

                      with Love.

My Saviour’s arm is around 

                     my shoulders.

My Comforter lights His Fire

                      inside of me.

God, the Three in One

has taken the lead in my Journey.

And so…….I go forward;

Unfraid.

He leads. I follow.

He counsels. I listen.

He comforts. I rejoice.

He holds me. I am not alone.

He loves me. I am blessed.

“My Presence shall go with you and I will give you Rest.”Exodus 33:14

A Revelation         

17th June 1974

1. Have you heard of the story of

                                     pardon

And the love of a Saviour divine?

Have you met on life’s road a

                    Father and Son

Whose great love through life’s

                storms doth shine?

As a star

Twinkling far

Over seas

Bringing peace

To the weary

Storm tossed

And lost

In life dreary!

2. Let me speak of the glad

                       glad tidings

Of the joy of a Saviour I know

How He came down to earth

                    to save sinners

From bondage, and true life

                            to show.

By and by

(Ask not why)

He’ll forgive

And you’ll live

With a peace

Which won’t cease

You’ll be free

As the wind

For He

will mind

You and me.

3. Won’t you join me in thanking

                                 a Saviour

Whom the heavens adore day by

                                          day

For He’s with you through

                 success and failure

He’ll help you each step of the

                                      way.

4. Will you dance as you yield to His Spirit,

He will lead you each day on your way,

He will teach and instruct in God's ways for you,

He will fill you with joy all the way.

Let us stand

As a band

And rejoice

With one voice

And sing

Glory bring

Hearts a-soaring

Joining hands

Spread through lands

The good news,

Like the dews

of the morning.

We can shout

With no doubt

That the King

Peace will bring

Hearts aflame

Let’s acclaim

With one accord

That He’s Lord.
